Added some colour hopefully to the front of the house by planting up a unused pot we had.
Filled it up with a whole 50l bag of fresh compost, a little of our own homemade compost and added some bulbs for flowering in the spring.
Added a pack of Taylors 40 garden bulbs white shades collections, which have Narcissus “Canaliculatus”, Allium “Neopolitanum”, Crocus “Miss Vain”, and Tulip “Purissima” in the packet. The pack was mainly Crocus, with I think (Forgot to count them) five or six of each of the others.
Added to this 5 Narcissus “Tahiti” and 12 bulbs of Iris Hollandica (Lion King)
So we hopefully will have bulbs flowering February all through till June.
- Narcissus “Canaliculatus” March-April
- Allium “Neopolitanum” May-June
- Crocus “Miss Vain” Feb-March
- Tulip “Purissima” March-April
- Narcissus “Tahiti” March-April
- Iris Hollandica (Lion King) June
Finished the top of the pot off with 3 plants of white Carnation, 3 plants of white Cyclamen , and a single larger plant of Cyclamen Persicum “Tianis” in red.
Gave the pot a dressing of a thin layer of grit to tidy it all off then even though it started to rain gave the lot a good watering
